Trusts and Estates | Tax-Exempt Organizations

Louise Maultsby Bristol brings to the firm for the benefit of our clients an extensive background in estate, trust, and charitable planning.  Passionate about serving families, Louise is adept at coordinating family and private foundation meetings; counseling families about making an impact by benefiting others and simultaneously minimizing taxes; and facilitating conversations with next generations about stewarding wealth thoughtfully and intentionally.   She is a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the North Carolina State Board of Legal Specialization.

Louise has worked most recently with Piedmont Trust Company, a North Carolina public trust company, serving at various points during her tenure as Senior Trust Officer and on the firm’s Leadership Team.  Prior to her time with Piedmont, she was in private practice, specializing in estate, trust and charitable planning, and estate and trust administration, first as a partner with Adams Kleemeier (now Maynard Nexsen); and then as a partner with Schell Bray.

She is an elder and high school youth advisor at First Presbyterian Church, Greensboro; a member of the Board of Directors of Greensboro Country Club; and a sustaining member of the Junior League of Greensboro.

She is the mother of three adult children of whom she is very proud.  She and her husband Chip enjoy racquet sports, snow skiing, and traveling.  Louise loves trying new recipes and reading WWII historical fiction.
