Barbara R. Christy Honored as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

Schell Bray is pleased to announce that Barbara R. Christy, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, was recently selected to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF). The Fellows of the ABF is an honorary organization of lawyers, judges, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. The Fellows was established in 1955 and is limited to one percent of attorneys in each state.

Ms. Christy’s practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions. Ms. Christy assists clients in all aspects of the acquisition and disposition of commercial real property, including preparation of contracts, due diligence, review and negotiation of loan documents, examination of title, 1031 exchange issues and closing. She received her B.S. degree from Appalachian State University and her J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
