Edward T. Chaney, a member of the Schell Bray Trusts and Estates Practice Group, spoke on April 24, 2015 at the 2015 Georgetown Law Continuing Legal Education Representing and Managing Tax-Exempt Organizations which was presented live and via webcast. Mr. Chaney’s topic was “Complex Public Support Issues”; and his co-presenter was Kimberley Eney from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
Ed Chaney focuses his practice on advising tax-exempt organizations on a broad range of tax and corporate matters, including organization formation, structure, and governance, obtaining tax exemption, ongoing tax and regulatory compliance, unrelated business income taxation, charitable giving, investment management of charitable assets, lobbying compliance and disclosure, and complex organizational structures and transactions. He received his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
