Two Schell Bray Partners Inducted into the 2017 Pro Bono Honor Society

Schell Bray is proud to announce the induction of Christina Freeman Pearsall and Edward T. Chaney into the 2017 N.C. Pro Bono Honor Society.  Society members reported providing 50 or more hours of pro bono legal services to clients unable to pay without expectation of a fee, an aspirational threshold set by Rule 6.1 of the North Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct.

This year’s cohort of the Honor Society consists of 345 attorneys who combined provided more than 35,000 hours of pro bono legal services in 2017 to North Carolinians living in poverty.

Ed is a member of Schell Bray’s Tax-Exempt Organizations and Philanthropy practice which, advises a broad range of nonprofit organizations on key tax and corporate matters.  Christina is a member of Schell Bray’s commercial real estate practice which, assists developers, property managers, individual and corporate investors and other businesses with the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of real property.
